Darren Green, SVP of Sales for the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, shares information on planning events in some of Los Angeles' highly desirable and truly unique venues.

What sets Los Angeles apart from other cities?
Los Angeles is the only city that offers such a wide range of options in terms of venue selection. While of course we have hotels and meeting space that rivals any other city, we also have some only-in-LA options, like our movie studios that really set us apart.

What types of meetings or events can the movie studios support?
Each of our four major studios are open for meetings and events of all shapes and sizes. And each one offers unique characteristics. Whatever your program objectives, one of these venues can offer an ideal solution for most meetings.

For instance, at Universal Studios Hollywood, they not only stage events on the scenic backlot but also offer options that can be staged throughout the theme park. Paramount Studios offers a quintessential experience with its picturesque setting located right in the heart of Hollywood. Warner Bros Studios and Sony Pictures have been aggressively elevating their meeting options with built-in facades and interactive studio experiences.

Are there other options in Los Angeles besides movie studios?
Of course. Those are just a few examples of the many unique venues that planners can choose from in Los Angeles. We also have some of the best historic entertainment venues in the world—legendary indoor theaters and outdoor amphitheaters like the TCL Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Bowl. There are also a number of recently opened and soon-to-open sports and cultural venues that will only add to the inventory of creative options for your next event.

That all sounds great. Where can I learn more?
