Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which launched a beta version of its iPhone/iPod touch app in mid-December 2009, will debut the official version this month. With the application, hotel guests will be able to consult restaurant hours and hotel info, read the property's Twitter feed, select a spa or salon treatment and check performance information. Opt-in GPS functionality will allow the app to deliver customized, location-based offers. Also available for U.S. guests is Texpress, through which guests can text the resort to check in up to one day prior to arrival. Those who use the service can bypass the front desk and pick up room keys from the bell desk. The iPhone app, still in its beta version, is available as a free download from the iTunes Store.
