Ten One Design LLC, a New York-based design firm specializing in mobile solutions, announced its newest application for use with MacBook trackpads: Inklet. The program essentially turns the trackpads of the latest MacBooks into pressure-sensitive drawing tablets. Either a finger or a stylus can be used to sketch; Inkjet may be used with common drawing applications such as Adobe Photoshop, and it works with handwriting recognition built in to Mac OS 10.6. The full licensed version is available for download at tenonedesign.com for $24.95; the Inklet bundle, which consists of the application and the Pogo Sketch, a capacitive drawing stylus, can be purchased for $34.95. A free limited download of the application is available for users who want to test it out first.
