This year, autumn doesn't officially begin until Sept. 22, but for most of us, summer is just plain over once Labor Day has come and gone. Thus, The List can jump the gun and offer these timeless (well, actually they're timed) tunes that evoke the season in all its bittersweet glory. Play any or all at your next autumnal event and watch attendees nod sagely, softly saying under their breath, "Ah, autumn. Yes." The order has been carefully calibrated to reflect the random whim of the compiler.
