Masterful Match
The Masters Tournament, one of the four major championships in professional golf, will celebrate its 80th anniversary next year at its home course at the Augusta National Golf Club, April 10-13.

Ritz Revamp
The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, in Greensboro recently upgraded its 251 guest rooms, golf courses, dining venues and spa menu. The property has more than 18,000 square feet of meeting space.

The 242-room Aloft Atlanta is expected to open early next year in the former Days Inn Atlanta Downtown building. The property, currently undergoing a $25 million remodel, is Aloft's first in Georgia and features 242 guest rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a bar and 2,000 square feet of meeting space.

The former Hotel Midtown is now the Hyatt Atlanta Midtown. The Nobel Investment Group, which purchased the 194-room property for $415 million, plans to invest an additional $20 million in a revamp. On-site meeting space totals nearly 3,500 square feet.

The Westin Peachtree Plaza is in the midst of a $45 million renovation. The project, which will culminate next year, includes upgrades to guest rooms (and the addition of five for a new total of 1,073), hallways and dining outlets. The hotel has more than 80,000 square feet of meeting space.

Among downtown properties are the 1,663-room Atlanta Marriott Marquis; 1,260-room Hyatt Regency Atlanta; 1,242-room Hilton Atlanta; 1,073-room Westin Peachtree Plaza; 1,070-room Omni Hotel at CNN Center; 763-room Sheraton Atlanta Hotel; 444-room Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta, and 312-room Atlanta Marriott Downtown.

In Midtown, major properties include the 502-room Meliá Atlanta, 435-room W Atlanta Midtown, 402-room Loews Atlanta Hotel, 252-room Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, and 191-room Wyndham Mid­town Atlanta.

In Buckhead, hotels include the 510-room Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead; 439-room Grand Hyatt Atlanta; 422-room InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta; 371-room JW Marriott Hotel Buckhead Atlanta; 151-room St. Regis Atlanta; and 127-room Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta.

In Perimeter Center are the 495-room Crowne Plaza Ravinia and 400-room Marriott Perimeter Center.

Near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport are the 638-room Atlanta Airport Marriott and 387-room Renaissance Concord Hotel.
