New & Coming Soon to Myrtle Beach

• The Springmaid Pier, which was damaged by Hurricane Matthew in 2016, is undergoing a reconstruction that's scheduled to finish by Memorial Day 2020. Originally named for the Springmaid Beach Resort, a popular beachfront hotel nearby, the 1,060-foot wooden pier was the longest in Myrtle Beach when it built in 1953. Today, the adjacent hotel is called the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton, Myrtle Beach, and - timed to coincide with the pier renovations - the property is planning to reopen its Southern Tide Bar & Grille. The renovated pier will be available for private events.

• The brand new Hilton Ocean 16, a 330-unit partnership property between Strand Capital Group, a Myrtle Beach-based real-estate development company, and Hilton Grand Vacations, debuted on May 16. The North Ocean Boulevard property features luxury units with oceanfront views.
