Pennsylvania's charms are enhanced by chocolate at The Hotel Hershey, in the state's only town named for a chocolate impresario. The upscale Woodside Cottages at the resort (pictured) will be renovated in the first quarter of this year, and an indoor pool complex will open at the nearby Hershey Lodge.

A new 222-room Four Seasons Philadelphia is slated to open in 2017, occupying the top 12 floors of the $1.2 billion, 59-story Comcast tower now under construction. The former Four Seasons has been converted to The Logan, a Hilton Curio Collection hotel.

The 149-room SLS LUX Philadelphia also is set to debut in 2017, in a 47-story tower on Broad and Spruce Streets, across from the Kimmel Center.

The 40-room Inn at Swarthmore is currently under construction at Swarthmore College, on its campus of rolling lawns and wooded hills 11 miles outside of Philadelphia. The property should debut this spring.

The Frick Pittsburgh is a museum and historical site that covers five acres of lawns and gardens in the East End. Private event spaces range from a rotunda to an auditorium to gardens.

Local Update
 The Ace Hotel Pittsburgh opened last month in a century-old building in East Liberty that once housed the YMCA. The five-story, 63-room boutique property caters to locals as well as guests and groups, offering gathering spaces such as a ballroom; lobby coffee and libation bars; meeting rooms; and Whitfield, a tavern-style restaurant.

 Construction wrapped up last month on the 225-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh - Downtown. The property officially joins the Hilton portfolio in March 2016. Within walking distance of the convention center, the hotel occupies the top 10 floors of the historic Henry W. Oliver building. The 25th floor Sky Lobby will offer views of Downtown Pittsburgh. A restaurant, a bar, a business center, a health club and an indoor pool will be on-site as well, along with meeting space for up to 150 people.

 The 135-room Hotel Indigo Pittsburgh East End debuted in October, in the city's revitalized East Liberty neighborhood. The boutique hotel has a residential feel, with oversized beds and hardwood floors. A restaurant and lounge are on-site.
