Local Update

 Last year, the Hyatt Escala Lodge at Park City became the Hyatt Centric Park City, joining the chain's brand of more eclectic properties. The hotel features 130 residential-style rooms, 10,000 square feet of meeting space, the Escala Provisions Company Restaurant & Bar and a 24-hour fitness center.

 The 360-room Grand Summit Hotel, a ski-in, ski-out property that is part of Park City Mountain, will close from April through midsummer for renovations. The hotel has 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet space.

 At Park City Mountain's 4,000-square-foot Red Pine Lodge, built halfway up the mountain at 8,000 feet above sea level, the main level has been doubled and a deck has been added. Up to 450 people can gather at the site, accessible via gondola.

 The Edge Steakhouse at Westgate Park City Resort & Spa has been awarded a Four Diamond rating from AAA. One standout is the lobster and black truffle risotto. The property features a 30,000-square-foot spa and about 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

 The 127-room Park City Peaks Hotel, a former Radisson, has been under renovation for a year and just finished work on 50 rooms. The rest will be renovated after the 2017 ski season ends. The Spruce Room holds 120 for receptions and 70 classroom-style. The Aspen Room holds 45 classroom-style. The restaurant, which was revamped and reopened in mid-January, now features locally sourced après-ski fare.
