The 201-room DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Airport has debuted following a complete transformation of a formerly independent property. Features include free Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool, 11,000 square feet of meeting space with waterfront views, and 24-hour shuttle service to and from the nearby airport.

More Debuts
 The 135-room Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph, has opened in the vibrant North Arts District in Ohio's capital city. The hotel features nearly 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 250 people, plus the chic Soul lounge and a 24-hour fitness center. Nearby is the Columbus Convention Center, as well as the Columbus Museum of Art and the Hollywood Casino.

 In Missouri, the 123-room AC Hotels by Marriott Kansas City Westport is newly open and has free high-speed Internet and three meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 62 people. F&B comes via the AC Breakfast and AC Lounge restaurants. Nearby is the Country Club Plaza, a dining, shopping and entertainment complex.

 Set to open at press time is the 180-room Sheraton Mesa Hotel in Mesa, Ariz., a suburb of Phoenix and eight miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The property has more than 37,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, highlighted by a 12,400-square-foot flexible ballroom. Five additional breakout rooms range from 344 to 971 square feet, and a 5,000-square-foot outdoor reception area overlooks the pool from the second floor. For downtime, the hotel's one-acre pool area offers three swimming pools, two heated wading pools, two hot tubs, cabanas and more. On-site dining options include the Sheraton Club Lounge (serving complimentary breakfast) and Preston's steak house.
