 The 1,985-room New York Hilton Midtown has finished phase one of a multimillion-dollar renovation, which included all executive-level accommodations for business travelers. Next up: a revamp of the 25,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom and more.

 In Houston, the 312-room Hotel Derek has completed a redesign of its two penthouse suites, adding imaginative touches like a larger-than-life magnetic Scrabble board. Each suite can host up to six people.

 The 793-room Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa, on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu has finished a $20 million refresh that included a new beach club, new meeting spaces and more. The resort has a 10,782-square-foot conference center.

• A first round of renovations have been completed at the 732-room Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Washington state, nine miles from downtown Seattle. The $5.2-million, three-part project updated the 381 guest rooms in the hotel's original Cascade Tower and redesigned its lobby; work on its prefunction and ballroom space will finish up by the end of the year. The property offers more than 70,000 square feet of meeting space.

• The 506-room Westin Dallas Fort Worth has unveiled its revamped 38,000 square feet of meeting space. The project included a complete refresh of  the property's 10,541-square-foot Trinity Ballroom, from carpeting to lighting. 

• The 424-room Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas has completed a refresh of its nearly 30,000 square feet of event and function space, including new décor in the 5,000-square-foot Acacia Ballroom and 10,000-square-foot Four Seasons Ballroom. The nongaming property, at the south end of the Strip, can accommodate up to 900 people for a banquet or reception. 

• The 426-room Warwick New York Hotel in Manhattan has wrapped up a head-to-toe renovation. The project included upgrades to guest rooms and the transformation of five suites (out of a total of 67) into "signature suites." The hotel has two restaurants and 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

• The 413-room Hyatt Regency Buffalo (N.Y.), has unveiled its new 1,500-square-foot penthouse suite, offering panoramic views of the city's downtown. The suite is available for private events. The hotel offers 23,479 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center and a business center.

A Beijing beauty. This month marks the opening of the 283-room Rosewood Beijing in the heart of the Chinese capital's business district. The hotel has six restaurants, a Sense Spa, a yoga studio and an indoor heated swimming pool, along with more than 36,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 7,857-square-foot grand ballroom.

 On East 29th Street in Manhattan's hot Madison Square Park neighborhood, what had been the King & Grove New York Hotel has reopened under the building's original name, the Martha Washington Hotel. The landmark 1903 property has 265 guest rooms, an Italian eatery from famed restaurateur Danny Meyer called Marta, and more than 4,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

 The 220-room AC Hotel New Orleans Bourbon/French Quarter Area, the first AC-branded property in the United States, opened this month with complimentary minibars in guest rooms (ditto for high-speed wireless throughout), the AC Kitchen restaurant, a fitness center and 2,200 square feet of meeting space spread over five spaces, including the 1,901-square-foot Degas Room, which can accommodate up to 168 people for a reception.  

 Just opened: the 294-room Miami Beach Edition. Features include a bowling alley; a skating rink; a restaurant by famed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten; and 8,300 square feet of event space that can hold up to 550 for a banquet, 832 for a reception and 928 theater-style.

 The 200-room Hyatt Place Washington DC/US Capitol celebrated its grand opening late last month. Among hightlights are an indoor pool, a 24-hour StayFit Gym, propertywide free Wi-Fi and 1,600 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is less than a mile from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, and not much farther are many of the district's landmark government buildings and memorials.

• On the Adriatic coast, the 86-room Regent Porto Montenegro has opened alongside that country's Porto Montenegro on Boka Bay. The property features three dining options, a signature Regent Spa and 2,690 square feet of meeting space, including the Teodo Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 200 people for sit-down functions.

• The 320-room Hilton Istanbul Kozyatagi debuted this week, Hilton's first on the Asian side of Istanbul, Turkey. The upscale property offers a 24-hour fitness center, an indoor pool, a spa, a hammam and 16 meeting rooms, including two ballrooms and a rooftop executive lounge. The hotel is a short drive from both bridges that link the European and Asian sides of the city. 

• The 145-room Four Points by Sheraton Queretaro Norte has opened in central Mexico in Juriquilla, an exclusive district just north of Santiago de Queretaro. On-site meeting space can accommodate up to 221 people for a conference or 170 for a banquet.

• Just five miles from Newark (N.J.) Liberty International Airport, the 138-room, sustainably designed Element Harrison-Newark has opened with features such as the Restore gourmet pantry, kitchenettes in all guest rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, and two meeting rooms spanning 826 and 551 square feet, respectively.

• The 106-room Hampton Inn & Suites Clayton/St. Louis-Galleria Area has opened, a complete transformation of the former Daniele Hotel including the addition of a new top floor of luxury suites and a meeting room that can accommodate groups of up to 50 people.
