 In Las Vegas, the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino has completed a $100 million refresh of more than 3,000 guest rooms across its three properties -- the Mandalay Bay, the Four Seasons Hotel and the all-suite Delano Las Vegas.

 The Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando has completed a renovation of its 1,000 guest rooms using an island-inspired color palette and custom furnishings. The resort has more than 132,000 square feet of meeting space.

 The 327-room Crown Plaza Dulles Airport in Herndon, Va., has completed a $14 million renovation that revamped the front entrance, the lobby, guest rooms and more. The hotel has more than 7,200 square feet of flexible meeting space.

• The 704-room InterContinental New York Barclay has reopened following a  $180 million, 20-month facelift. Among the enhancements at the Manhattan property, which was built in 1926, are a open lobby featuring a Carrara-marble grand staircase; redesigned guest rooms and suites; a refurbished Club InterContinental, and an upgraded 15,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel's new Gin Parlour bar, inspired by Dutch and English gin bars of the 1920s, features 88 premium gins, as well as a new menu of locally sourced items.

• The 92-room Arizona Inn in Tucson has unveiled a host of water-related renovations and enhancements, including a revamped deck by the outside pool to add some welcome shade, and the addition of a new indoor pool lounge. The inn, which opened in 1930, has 5,000 square feet of meeting space across four meeting and banquet rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 200 people.

• The Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa-Airport/Westshore has completed a $4.5 million renovation that updated all 243 guest rooms, all 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and the 3,200-square-foot outdoor pool terrace.   The property is near Clearwater Beach, the Tampa Convention Center and Busch Gardens Tampa.

Sustainably chic.  The new 70-room Hotel at Oberlin (rendering pictured) in Ohio is one of only five LEED Platinum properties in the U.S. Owned by Oberlin College, the hotel is solar-powered and employs solar, geothermal, and radiant heating and cooling, plus locally sourced materials in its design; meeting space spans 6,500 square feet.  

More Debuts
 The 178-room Mason & Rook Hotel has opened in the heart of Washington, D.C.'s vibrant 14th Street neighborhood. The stylish guest rooms are decked out in luxe fabrics, eclectic artwork and subtle plaid carpeting; features include 65-inch smart TVs, large work desks and spacious marble bathrooms. The hotel's rooftop deck has a swimming pool, chaises for poolside lounging, and drinks and light snacks. Meeting space at the property totals 4,000 square feet, including a 1,700-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate up to 150 people.

 In the capital of Saskatchewan, Canada, the Four Points by Sheraton Regina has opened, its 127 guest rooms decked out in Four Points by Sheraton Four Comfort Beds, 42-inch flat-screen TVs, microwave ovens and more. Groups can gather in a 1,040-square-foot meeting room and a 340-square-foot boardroom. Within close proximity are the Conexus Art Centre, the Casino Regina and the shops at Cornwall Centre.

 Steps from the Puerto Rico Convention Center and minutes from the beaches of Condado Bay, the 149-room Hyatt Place San Juan/City Center has opened. The property has digital designs by local artist Annette Vaccaro dramatically splashed across its facade, plus a resort-style, 11,000-square-foot swimming pool; complimentary WiFi; the Coffee to Cocktails Bar, and the 24-hour StayFit Gym. The hotel also provides more than 3,165 square feet of flexible meeting space.

• The 176-room Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas Downtown opens this month in a landmark 1923 tower in the heart of the city. Guest rooms include 49-inch HD TVs, microwaves and free WiFi. The hotel also offers an indoor pool, complimentary breakfast and evening socials, and a conference room for small meetings.

• The 199-room Hilton Alexandria King's Ranch has opened in the upscale King Mariout district in Alexandria, Egypt, a short drive from Borg Al Arab International Airport. Features include an outdoor pool with "male and female wet areas"; six food-and-beverage outlets, including the hotel's signature Lebanese restaurant, Zaatar; and six function rooms and a ballroom that together can accommodate up to 1,000 people.

• In South Carolina's capital city, the 108-room Aloft Columbia Downtown has opened in the revitalized Congaree Vista district with myriad shopping, dining and nightlife options. The hotel has an 800-square-foot meeting room that can function as a boardroom for up to 26 attendees.
