 The 4,004-room Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas has completed a renovation of its 300,000-square-foot convention center, adding new media walls, high-tech furniture, charging stations and more.

 In Florida, the 319-room Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club has completed a renovation of its 90 tower balconies, changing them from brick to glass to highlight impressive gulf views. The hotel has 34,000 square feet of meeting space.

 The 196-room Royal Savoy Hotel in Lausanne, Switzerland, has reopened following a five-year, US$100 million refresh that included adding a new spa and refurbishing all public areas and guest rooms. The hotel has five meeting rooms and a 6,178-square-foot ballroom.

• On 300 tropical acres between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the Turnberry Isle Miami, an Autograph Collection hotel, has renovated 241 of its 408 guest rooms. The refreshed rooms, all within the resort's Jasmine and Magnolia buildings, were given lighter, brighter contemporary furnishings (including new carpeting, drapery, linens and artwork) and in-room amenities (such as iHome Clock Radios with Bluetooth technology, and personal Keurig coffee machines). The resort has 40,000 square feet of meeting space. 

• The 1,310-room Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Honolulu has finished a $22 million renovation that touched upon the lobby, porte cochere, front desk, main ballroom and meeting/special-events rooms. The resort includes two freshwater, heated swimming pools; a 10-person whirlpool; the Royal Kaila Spa; a 2-hour fitness facility; four restaurants, and more than 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.  

• The Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central, has unveiled 80 new luxury suites on its top floors, including the Terrace Suite, which spans more than 2,600 square feet, not counting the 1,184-square-foot outdoor terrace. The property now has 350 suites in all and a new grand total of 4,001 guest rooms.  The hotel also has a hefty 150,694 square feet of meeting space.

Florida beckons. The 400-room Hilton West Palm Beach has opened with more than 24,000 square feet of event space, including a 13,350-square-foot grand ballroom and 32 meetings-worthy suites. If that isn't enough, the hotel is connected to the Palm Beach County Convention Center, and the city's vibrant cultural center is steps away.

More Debuts
 The 326-room Westin Dallas Downtown has debuted with two restaurants, an indoor pool, a fitness center and a free area shuttle providing easy access to nearby attractions such as the Dallas World Aquarium and the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, not to mention the Dallas Convention Center. The hotel offers 31,437 square feet of function space spread among 20 rooms, plus a 6,678-square-foot ballroom. The Willow Pavilion includes a solarium event space, surrounded by lush gardens and illuminated through a skylight.

 The 202-room Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica has opened on the secluded Papagayo Peninsula on the North Pacific coast of this Central American nation. Features include four á la carte dining options and specialty restaurants serving international fare, five bars and lounges, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, two pools, miles of unspoiled beaches and a Secrets Spa by Pevonia with 13 treatment rooms. The hotel has dedicated meeting space (including an amphitheater) that can accommodate up to 400 people. 

 The 207-room Four Points by Sheridan San Diego-SeaWorld is now open with more than 2,000 square feet of versatile function space on one floor, accommodating up to 120 people. The hotel, a short drive from San Diego International Airport, also is near the city's colorful Gaslamp Quarter, SeaWorld San Diego, the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Petco Park and Mission Beach.

• The 181-room Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Mina has opened near to the city of Al Mina's convention and financial centers, as well as attractions such as Jumeirah Beach and Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower. Total meeting space at the property comes to 3,762 square feet divided among six spaces. This is the second of three midscale Garden Inns to open in Dubai, following last October's debut of the 183-room Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Muraqabat. A third, the 370-room Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Mall of the Emirates, is set to open in fourth-quarter 2016.

• In the newly built business district of Liuzhou, China, part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Southern China, the 285-room Wanda Realm Liuzhou has opened. Amenities include the Zhen Chinese Restaurant serving Cantonese dishes, the HE Japanese restaurant and a health club/spa. For meetings there are three small function rooms and a 12,916-square-foot grand ballroom equipped with a mammoth 968-square-foot LED screen. 

• The 123-room Apricot Hotel has opened in Hanoi, Vietnam, with a rooftop terrace bar and a heated pool overlooking the city's skyline, the fine-dining Palette restaurant serving Southeast Asian fare and a library lounge featuring native artwork and a curated collection of books. For events, space includes a pneumatic stage that hovers between two basement levels can host private parties for up to 300 people, and a top-floor conference room can accommodate up to 30 people. 

• The 140-room Sheraton Hokkaido Kiroro Resort has debuted on Japan's northernmost main island, the brand's first ski resort in the country. The property is the former Mountain Hotel, which was closed for extensive renovations to complete the transformation. The resort features Rivierouge, serving Japanese and international dishes; the Hoki Japanese restaurant focuses on sushi and grilled BBQ choices using local ingredients. For events, the hotel's Jula Hall holds up to 100 guests. Ski-in ski-out access leads to the slopes at the Kiroro integrated mountain resort area.

• In Algeria, the 170-room Four Points by Sheraton Oran overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and is just minutes from its namesake city's center and the Mohamed Benahmed Convention Center. The hotel has five meetings rooms, plus a ballroom that accommodates up to 350 people for banquets and other events.
