The Atlanta Marriott Marquis has unveiled a new look, double the meeting space and a few new hip hangouts.
Almost $140 million was spent renovating Marriott's second largest property. Aside from upgrading the 1,663 guest rooms and 160,000 total square feet of meeting space, a new 25,000-square-foot ballroom was added on the atrium level.
The gargantuan open-air atrium lobby still is the place to be seen with the addition of the Pulse cocktail lounge, the High Velocity sports bar's 40-foot projection screen and the new full-service, fire-inspired restaurant, Sear. A bridge connecting the hotel to the Hilton Atlanta next door was slated to open in March.
