The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa

More planners than ever are wagering on Atlantic City, as New Jersey’s gaming mecca makes a play to draw in the high rollers.
The Walk, a $76 million revitalization of 60 storefronts between the Atlantic City Convention Center and the Boardwalk, opens this month. A few blocks away, the 1,625-room Tropicana Casino & Resort’s $225 million expansion soon will feature a 21,000-square-foot dining and retail center. Also, the $80 million Pier at Caesars project debuts in 2005.
Hotel news includes, of course, the 2,002-room retro-glam Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, plus 544 new rooms at the Showboat Casino Hotel, for a total of 1,309. This summer, a new tower will bring the room count to 937 at Resorts Atlantic City Casino Hotel.
