The Hilton Barbados

Picture-perfect peninsula:
The Hilton Barbados

This Eastern Caribbean island, traditionally favored by Europeans, has seen its share of Americans since the Hilton Barbados opened in June.
The hotel is easy to like, and not just because of the flawless service. It sits on a peninsula, so all 350 rooms have ocean views. Meeting space is plentiful (10,000 square feet), convenient and set apart from the rest of the hotel. A spa debuts in late 2006. Hotel dining is excellent, though for variation, investigate St. Lawrence Gap, the island’s restaurant and nightlife epicenter.
Elsewhere on the island, the all-inclusive Almond Resorts assumes management of the 300-room Casuarina Beach Resort in early 2006, and Almond Beach Village is adding 170 rooms, bringing the total to 500 by late 2006.
