The Sagamore

The Sagamore in all its stately beauty

The Sagamore, 75 minutes from Albany, is close enough for a weekend retreat for Northeasterners yet secluded enough to ensure privacy. The 350-room resort sits on a 70-acre island on pristine Lake George.
Along with the expected amenities (a new-ly expanded spa, a golf course and 25,000 square feet of meeting space) are unexpected pleasures. For example, groups of up to 80 people can dine aboard the Morgan, a historic yacht, while up to 20 can take sailing classes at the resort’s Offshore Sailing School.
Small groups can don toques for a day and help chefs prepare a dinner to be served that evening.
