From the wooden
porthole in the door to the sweeping balcony view of the
Mediterranean, a freshly remodeled room at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo
is reminiscent of a deluxe cabin on a luxury cruise ship of yore.
So far, 58 of the property’s 619 guest rooms have been converted;
the rest will finish by May 2009.
The hotel, which has 18 meeting rooms,
served as the host property for Trailblazers, the annual incentive
marketplace sponsored by the national tourist offices and
supplier/partners from Canada, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland,
Monaco and Switzerland, held this past July.
A highlight of the event was the opening ceremony, during which
H.S.H. Prince Albert II welcomed the attendees to Monaco.
