Changes are ongoing in this southern Arizona city. Tucked into the Tucson Mountains is the new 575-room JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa. The area’s largest property, it offers 88,000 square feet of event space, a 20,000-square-foot spa and 27 holes of golf.
Nearby is the 244-room Westward Look Resort, built in 1912 as a hacienda-style home and designed to blend into the desert landscape. Renovations begin next summer on meeting and guest rooms.
The 428-room Hilton El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort, with 45 holes of golf and 100,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space, has renovated its tennis complex and guest-room corridors.
Elsewhere in town, the 398-room Loews Ventana Canyon finishes $10 million in room revamps next month.
