NLOL0809 Paradise Valley, Az.Inter­Continental Hotels Group unveiled the Montelucia Resort & Spa, its first U.S. resort, last November. The upscale property, formerly the Doubletree La Posada Resort, underwent a $300 million-plus makeover, heavily influenced by the style of Southern Spain's Andalusian region.

On-site are 253 guest rooms and 40 suites; 27,000 square feet of meeting space, including the 9,216-square-foot Grand Andalusian Ballroom and the 4,650-square-foot Junior Ballroom; 70,000 square feet of outdoor function space, and six restaurants.

The Joya Spa, with 19 treatment rooms and a fitness center, is a popular draw for guests and locals alike.
