The low-key, meetings-friendly capital of Rhode Island has a lot to offer groups.

At the heart of downtown, the Rhode Island Convention Center features lots of natural light, particularly in the 2,500-square-foot Rotunda, ideal for a dinner or reception. The facility has 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, a 20,000-square-foot ballroom and 23 meeting rooms.

Two high-end properties serve the center. The 264-room Renaissance Providence, with 10,000 square feet of meeting space, was built as a Masonic temple. The 564-room Westin Providence, connected to the center, has 22,900 square feet of meeting space.
