This colorful gaming capital is constantly reinventing itself. The latest trend, improbably, is a taste for fresh air.

"The old adage was 'no clocks, no windows, don't let them loose,'" said Michael Dominguez, senior vice president and chief sales officer for MGM Resorts International. "And here we just spent $100 million on a park."

That would be The Park, MGM's new outdoor haven of shops, restaurants, greenery, and art between the Monte Carlo and New York-New York casino resorts, and bordering the new, 20,000-seat T-Mobile Arena.

The Linq Promenade, the outdoor plaza that debuted in 2014, is another Strip example. Watch Caesars Entertainment's Michael Massari discuss the trend at mcmag.com/LasVegas.
