Mohegan Sun, the Connecticut casino set midway between New Haven and Providence, R.I., has expanded its already vast resort offerings.

After purchasing a nearby golf course, the resort spent millions refurbishing the layout, reopening it in June as the Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug. The work rebuilt five holes, added all new greens, redesigned the club house and added a pro shop.

Mohegan Sun features 1,200 guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including the 38,000-square-foot Uncas Ballroom. The on-site Elemis Spa has 15 treatment rooms.
