Weather
As in the rest of Tennessee, the driest, most reliable weather occurs in September and October. The nights can be chilly, so be sure to take a sweater or jacket. September also can be quite warm. Memphis' weather can change rapidly. Its summers are hot (90+ F/32+ C) with uncomfortable humidity (80%-90%). Thunderstorms are fairly frequent in spring and summer, though winter and early spring see the most precipitation. Memphis does get snow, usually 3-6 in/8-15 cm a year, but it doesn't stick around long. Even so, Memphis drivers completely freak out at the first snowflake sighting.
