The most popular—but not the best—time to visit is July-September, when coastal day temperatures are in the 80s-90s F/26-37 C and nights are in the 60s-70s F/15-25 C. Too many tourists and too high temperatures in the afternoons lessen the pleasure of a summer visit for us. We think visiting Tunisia May-June is a much better idea. Winter is hit-or-miss—there will be some nice beach days, but other days will be a bit cool, the skies will cloud over, or it might rain. (Night temperatures may even reach the low 40s F/5-7 C.). Take along a sweater for evenings year-round and a warm coat or jacket for winter.
