Meetings venues are constantly upgrading, trying to stay ahead of not one but two curves: the soaring arc of technology and the appetite of clients and attendees for the latest conveniences. So that leaves hotels and conference centers in a perpetual upgrade to meet clients and attendees in a mutually beneficial sweet spot.

Our imaginations can get carried away technology's enormous potential, but are those innovations ready to make our lives easier? How about technology that has a tangible benefit to our meetings/hotel experience?

Upgrades that work
At Orlando's Rosen Centre, new tech conveniences have been designed to enhance the guest experience, and they've coincided with other room upgrades. Here's an example that meets today's demand for connectivity: guests at Rosen Centre will make great use of the new, multi-outlet connectivity bar located below the wall-mounted 50" flat-screen TV. They can charge all their devices at once on the bar, which also contains one ethernet and two USB ports. Additional outlets and USB ports are located on the desk lamps, headboard panels and nightstand lamps, providing plenty of recharging and connection options. 

Along with those practical upgrades, Rosen Centre has installed RFID locking systems for state-of-the-art security in guestrooms, meeting spaces and ballrooms. RFID technology is keyless and even more secure than traditional locks. The hotel also offers complimentary Wi-Fi in all of its guestrooms.

Room as retreat
Hand-in-hand with the technological enhancements, Rosen Centre has upgraded its guestrooms to double Queens and increased king guestrooms. What could be better for today's near-frantic event goers: Rosen Centre's enlarged guestrooms are being updated to reflect a spa-like calm and serenity. The walls are painted a deep rich teal, while soft touches of gray, white and teal lend themselves to the contemporary feel. The desk and dresser have been replaced with a streamlined, quartz-topped all-in-one version.

TV solution
Complementing the upgrades at Rosen Centre is SONIFI® Solutions' in-room entertainment. This upgraded service includes interactive TV options and free-to-guest streaming via STAYCAST. Through Google Chrome Casting on SONIFI, guests can project thousands of apps from their cell phones to their guestroom flat-screen TVs. And it's hassle-free: it avoids the need to disclose password information. The expanded on-demand content is what many younger attendees want and what all travelers will come to expect in the near future.

Rosen Centre's 150,000 sq.ft. of meeting/event space feature RFID locking systems ease of use, while providing state-of-the-art security.

Messaging made easy
SONIFI Solutions includes a new group messaging system that directly benefits meeting and event planners and their groups. The system allows planners to send mass messages, photos and videos to their entire room block. Additionally, guests can use the new technology to order room service and to make housekeeping requests. The system also provides additional functions including in-room check-out.
 
Earn a bonus
While enjoying the room upgrades at Rosen Centre, meeting planners can experience the Rosen Difference and earn a "Signing Bonus." New leads on select hot dates in the 2018-2019 period may qualify for a bonus starting at $3,000; events must be a minimum of 250 room nights and include a food and beverage contribution.
