Average ticket prices and hotel average daily rates for top corporate travel destinations will be slightly up in 2013 for North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, according to Egencia's 2013 Global Corporate Travel Forecast. The report forecasts airfare increases of 5 percent in North America, 3 percent in Europe and 5 percent in Asia Pacific. More moderate increases are expected in hotel rates, with expected gains of 3 percent in North America, 2 percent in Europe and just 1 percent in Asia Pacific. "The global economy is volatile, and we've seen some deterioration in CEO sentiment in recent months," noted Rob Greybar, Egencia's president. "But suppliers have carefully managed capacity this year, so we expect, even with moderating demand, some slight pricing increases in most regions." The forecast is based on Egencia's analysis of markets in more than 50 destinations in the three regions.
