As part of the $2 billion investment American Airlines is making to in-flight and club upgrades, the carrier will add Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi to nearly 250 of its regional jets by 2016. The newly outfitted two-class regional jets will join the nearly 850 American Airlines planes currently equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities. American has ordered more than 500 new planes for delivery over the next two years, including 90 76-seat regional jets that offer first class, main cabin extra and main cabin seating.
