As of Jan. 4, Continental and Spanair will begin codesharing on flights across the Atlantic and to some destinations in Spain and Africa, the Star Alliance carriers announced Monday. At that time, Continental's code will appear on Spanair-operated flights between Barcelona and seven other Spanish destinations, as well as Banjul, Gambia. It will also appear on Spanair-operated flights between Madrid and 10 other Spanish cities. The Spanair code will appear on Continental-operated nonstop flights between New York/Newark and both Barcelona and Madrid.
