JetBlue to Add Second Weekly Flight Between New York and Cuba in December
JetBlue will launch a second weekly charter flight between New York City and Havana, Cuba, on Tuesday, Dec. 1; the service -- like JetBlue's other flights to the island -- must be booked through charter firm Cuba Travel Services (CubaTravelServices.com). The original service between New York and Havana, launched in March, will continue to operate on Fridays.
"Even as the world anticipates what future air travel to Cuba will look like, we recognize that many Americans need to travel there today," said Scott Lawrence, JetBlue's senior vice president of airline planning.
"Cuba Travel Services is excited for all the positive changes, allowing more Americans to visit Cuba. We are offering more flexibility to our travelers with this second rotation, and introducing our new online booking engine, which will allow passengers to reserve and purchase their tickets in real time," said Michael Zuccato, general manager at Cuba Travel Services.
