Miami International Airport’s new international arrivals facility opened yesterday. The three-level, 40,000-square-foot area is accessible via Skytrain and includes a 72-lane passport control area that can process 2,000 passengers per hour, twice the capacity of the existing Concourse E’s 36 lanes, according to Travel Weekly, M&C’s sister publication. Six lanes will be dedicated to serving members of Global Entry, a government program that offers expedited processing to accredited travelers.
