United Airlines will launch Polaris, its new international business class, on Dec. 1. Perks will include gourmet meal service, bedding from Saks Fifth Avenue, amenity kits from Cowshed, wine flights and a Bloody Mary cart.

The Polaris experience begins in the new United Polaris Lounge, the first of which will debut Dec. 1 at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. These exclusive new luxury lounges will include private seating stations with pull-out desks, induction charging for devices and table lamps; private rest and relaxation pods, and shower facilities. Nine Polaris Lounges will open in the next two years, including Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco and Washington Dulles in 2017. In 2018, the facilities will open in Hong Kong, London Heathrow and Tokyo Narita airports.

A new United Polaris business-class seat will be introduced on the 777-300ER aircraft and rolled out to United's flights over the course of the next year.
