Northstar Meetings Group -- of which Meetings & Conventions is a part -- and the Singapore Tourism Board are collaborating on a new campaign that recognizes the unsung heroes behind every successful event. "Their Passion Made Your Event Possible" pays tribute to the chefs, A/V specialists, decorators, transportation coordinators, baggage handlers, convention service managers and others who work behind the scenes to ensure every event comes together smoothly. 

The campaign highlights Singapore's "Passion Made Possible" spirit and profiles a number of Singaporean meeting professionals who exemplify that kind of support. The celebration will move on to recognize a number of U.S. and global professionals who embody the same passion. A select group of industry professionals who best represent the ideals of the campaign will be awarded all-expenses-paid trips to Singapore for a cross-cultural exchange with like-minded individuals. The winners also will be featured in Northstar Meetings Group's media and events, including the M&C, Successful Meetings and Incentive titles.
 
"Singapore is a first-rate meetings destination with a stellar reputation as an innovative global-business and tourism hub," said David Blansfield, executive vice president and group publisher of Northstar Meetings Group. "Through this campaign, not only will we share the many reasons why Singapore is a premier meetings destination, as well as Singapore's story of quality service, but also the 'Passion Made Possible' attributes that the nation and its people embody. These are universal qualities that make the business-events industry work so well.
