The General Services Administration has established the 2018 per-diem rates for the lower 48 Continental United States (CONUS), the maximum allowances for which federal employees are reimbursed for official travel expenses.

The full CONUS per-diem rate -- which combines three allowances, covering lodging, meals and incidentals -- has changed only incrementally for most major cities, as evidenced by the chart.

Most of the country is covered by the standard CONUS per-diem rate of $144 ($93 for lodging, and $51 for meals and incidental expenses). The lodging rate has gone up by $2, but the allowance for meals and incidentals is unchanged. To explore the rates for more destinations on your meetings schedules, go to bit.ly/2xmwUml.
