Airbnb and American Express have partnered to integrate benefits for Amex cardholders, including enhanced registration and the ability to use rewards points for stays. It is Airbnb's first official partnership, and a significant step by the company to court corporate travelers.

As of today, American Express card members can create an Airbnb account by using their login information. Their Airbnb profiles will be populated via their Amex information, and Airbnb will keep the card on file. Card members have the option to verify their accounts with Amex, which would place an American Express Card Member badge on their Airbnb profiles. They can also take advantage of Amex Express Checkout, an Amex technology that speeds the payment process by automatically filling in card information.

Amex cardholders also have the option of using their Membership Rewards points to book directly on the Airbnb site; while not Airbnb-specific, the arrangement is Airbnb's first experiment with a loyalty program.

Through the end of this year, eligible U.S. card members can get $50 back when spending at least $100 on Airbnb, via Amex Offers.
