American Express Global Business Travel debuted new functionality to its AX Connect travel management platform Tuesday, including near real-time flight information and the ability to locate and communicate directly with travelers at off-site corporate facilities. The new features allow travel managers to more easily manage travel disruptions. "Employee care continues to be a top priority for Global Business Travel customers worldwide,” said Philippe Chereque, chief technology officer for American Express Global Business Travel.  “Our aim is to provide an end-to-end solution that makes fulfilling this duty of care obligation as simple as possible — regardless of whether employees are at the airport or in the office." The new features are now available to customers, and complement existing employee locating and communication functions.
