American Express Global Business Travel and risk-management firm iJET International announced a strategic partnership, through which Amex Expert Care customers will be able to choose from among a variety of iJET's risk and response service solutions. The partnership provides customers with a more complete, integrated risk management package.

"We're excited to partner with iJET and have been working for several months now to develop a solution that provides travel managers and their companies with greater access to communication and risk management tools before, during and after a disruption happens," said Evan Konwiser, vice president, Digital Traveler, American Express Global Business Travel. "Continuing to build on our Expert Care solution is one of our highest priorities."

Nearly 6,000 global travel disruption incidents have occurred in 2015, according to iJET, a 13 percent increase over last year. The partnership offers increased preparation in the way of information sharing and alerts, as well extended abilities to reach travelers during a crisis and provide them with iJET's security and medical response capabilities.
