The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism has closed its New York City office, leaving its Plantation, Fla., office as its only U.S. presence.
The New York office was on East 52nd Street and employed three people. According to press reports, the measure was taken in light of more visitors using the organization’s web site for information and to book trips; the closure will save the organization an estimated $600,000 annually.
