Tim Roby, president and CEO of the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau, has resigned his post and will leave Dec. 22. He will join Starwood Hotels & Resorts as senior vice president of sales, North America, after the first of the year. Chairman of the CCTB board, Bruce Rauner, has suggested that Jack Johnson, the organization's vice president of external relations, be named acting CEO, effective Dec. 23. Johnson and the executive committee will work to find a successor for Roby, who has directed the bureau since April 2006.
