DMAI and European Cities Marketing Collaborate on Education Initiatives
European Cities Marketing, the association representing European tourist offices and convention bureaus, and U.S.-based Destination Marketing Association International have agreed to collaborate on strategic educational initiatives. To begin, DMAI will promote the ECM Summer School program to its membership as a great event for learning about the meetings industry, and DMAI will contribute programming to educate European destinations on trends in the North American market. Christine "Shimo" Shimasaki, managing director of empowerMINT and the Event Impact Calculator at DMAI, will join the ECM Summer School faculty. The 2015 Summer School program will take place Aug. 22-26 in Vienna, Austria.
