Sandi Talley, senior vice president of business development and membership for Destination Marketing Association International, has announced her retirement from the organization, effective Feb. 8. In a press release, Talley said, "I'm ready to take a break after working in senior positions for, let's just say, lots of years. I plan to do whatever strikes my fancy for the next few months." Talley came to the organization, then known as IACVB, in 2004. Prior to that, she worked for 20 years as regional vice president of sales for the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau's Washington, D.C., satellite office. Karen Gonzales, DMAI's current vice president of membership, will take over Talley's position.
