Orlando saw a record 57 million visitors in 2012, making it the most visited destination in America. The city enjoyed a 3.3 percent increase over 2011. The top international markets continue to be Canada, the U.K. and Brazil, while the number of travelers from South and Central America has more than doubled over the past 10 years, making it Orlando's fastest growing tourism market. To keep up with the growing demand, the Orlando International Airport has revealed a $1.2 billion expansion plan that will increase the airport's parking garage and provide upgrades throughout the facility.
