Orlando welcomed 59 million visitors in 2013, setting an all-time record for any U.S. destination. The news was announced during the U.S. Travel Association's IPW travel conference, which was held in Chicago April 5-9. New economic impact figures for Orlando will be released later this year, though the numbers are expected to rise beyond the more than $52 billion travel and tourism brought to the destination in 2012.
