According to local news reports, the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Paulette Kluge as its interim president, effective Monday. The CVB board, meanwhile, will conduct a search for a permanent appointment. Kluge, a longtime industry veteran, recently retired from her position as director of sales and marketing of the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel. Previous president and CEO Keith Arnold resigned in late October, just before an audit revealed that about 21,400 of 90,000 room nights reported to have been sold from 2011 through 2013 could not be confirmed.
