SouthCoast USA, the multistate consortium of destinations along Interstate 10 and the Gulf of Mexico, has requested $55 million in marketing money from BP for a multifaceted tourism campaign in order to promote the areas affected by the Gulf oil spill. The group detailed its request in a letter to BP. The group's destinations include areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
