Seventy-four percent of destination management organizations recommend local charities for their clients to engage with during their events, according to a Destination Marketing Association International survey of 147 North American DMOs. Of that group, 31 percent just connect clients with the activity; 16 percent stay engaged from beginning to end, and 53 percent of those polled said their involvement level varies.
