Marketing budgets for destination marketing organizations have increased by 7 percent in the current fiscal year, more than twice the rate of the average convention center's budget growth, according to the Convention Sales Practices Study produced by the Destination Marketing Association International's Destination & Travel Foundation in partnership with Red7Media. The survey of 70 DMOs, 30 convention centers and three organizations that manage both the DMO and a convention center, was conducted online in March. The study is available here for $350 for DMAI members and $490 for nonmembers.
