The Florida Tourism Industry Marketing Corp., or Visit Florida, the state's tourism marketing arm, is in jeopardy as meeting and hospitality industry officials fight a bill in the state legislature that would dissolve the organization and place the government in charge of tourism marketing under the Jobs Florida Partnership Inc. The bill currently is in committee with potential amendments to come in the following weeks. Tourism officials are urging industry stakeholders to voice their opposition by contacting their representatives.
