Rick Antonson, who has served as president and CEO of Tourism Vancouver in British Columbia since 1994, will leave the destination marketing organization to become a full-time book author next year. He will remain as CEO until June 2014 or until his successor has been hired. Tourism Vancouver has retained the executive search firm Odgers Berndtson to conduct an international search for the organization's next leader. During his tenure, Antonson chaired Destination Marketing Association International, served as deputy chair of the Pacific Asia Travel Association and was a founding board member of the Canadian Tourism Commission.
