Global destination management company AlliedPRA has acquired Destination Services Corp., a leading DMC in the Rocky Mountains. Together, the combined companies will have more than $100 million in system revenue and 29 locations.
"The DSC team takes great pride in the successful business we have built. We have worked hard to lead our industry in what is arguably among the most beautiful areas of the entire western hemisphere," said Kathy Fort Carty (left), DSC founder and president. "Like AlliedPRA, DSC will always be dedicated to our employees, our local relationships, and the commitment to creating one-of-a-kind destination experiences for our clients. I know AlliedPRA well, and I am invigorated by what we can do together to redefine the DMC segment of business events and incentive meetings."
A 30-year industry veteran, Fort Carty established DSC in 1986 and grew it from a one-person operation to a company with a staff of more than 40 full-time team members in nine locations across four states. She will remain head of DSC, which will continue to operate under the DSC brand, and will also join the AlliedPRA board of directors.
"This is an exciting time for AlliedPRA as we expand our business into this region," said AlliedPRA CEO Tony Lorenz. "DSC is an incredible business. Kathy is an extraordinary entrepreneur and leader in our industry. She takes great pride in a business she built from the ground up, and rightfully so. Together with Kathy and her team, we will steward DSC's next chapter as an important part of the ambitious vision we have for AlliedPRA."
