New York City-based destination management company Briggs Inc. has named the four winners of its annual June Briggs Awards, which honor the DMC’s partners that have made exceptional contributions to the hospitality industry over the past year. The winners are Di Palo’s Fine Foods, a Little Italy family-run store that has been selling homemade mozzarella, sausages and prosciutto since 1903; the St. Regis New York, the iconic hotel built by one of the Gilded Age’s wealthiest tycoons, John Jacob Astor, and a favorite for incentive groups; Katz’s Deli, which has been serving one-cured pastrami, corned beef on rye, bialys and potato-stuffed knishes since 1888; and Mary Bussone, senior vice president of event management at the ITA Group, an incentive company based in Des Moines, Iowa.
